Artist Statement: Reverberate marks my first-ever hand-embellished print series. In this work, I set out to explore how line thickness, without the support of bright color can create depth, movement, and tonal dimension. By shifting line weight from thin to bold, I echoed the light-to-dark progression that typically defines my color-driven pieces. I experimented with several color variations of the same composition to find which version suited my idea best. Unable to choose just one, I selected a handful of my favorite color ways to move forward with in print.

Once the prints were completed, I stepped back and saw a natural rhythm emerge: the lines appeared to reverberate outward, reminiscent of ripples expanding across a body of water. That discovery inspired the next phase of spontaneously drawing atop the prints with a range of mediums. I also created custom masking elements to apply controlled layers of aerosol paint, allowing each piece to evolve into something distinctly its own. These hand-crafted embellishments ensure that every print in the series is truly unique.
